Thai Green Curry Laksa (Taman Free School)

I passed by this stall many times wanted to order something from it but always got disappointed because it's not open.

It's a beautiful Sunday today and while we were discussing where to have our breakfast, I decided to visit here for breakfast (but never have any specific thought about this stall).

So to my surprise, it's open today!

We ordered thai green curry and this is how it looks...

First of all, before really digging into the taste of spiciness, we're impressed by:-
        (1) The portion
        (2) The very nice serving dishes, and
        (3) The friendliness of the seller

Oh come on every now and then we tend to see the lousiest manners hawker or ones always reflecting how hard to earn a living being a hawker by serving lesser portion but higher price. But this one is totally different!

And the seller would come by to give us extra soup, sat down to chat with us about Kathina in different places, and offer us nice desert without extra charge (of course we were receiving these offerings with gratefulness and not here to spread the idea so people can go there with an expectation to get free stuff).

He serves other Thai food too, such as Maeng-Kam, Thai Fried Rice and so on. He highlighted all the spices and fresh ingredients are imported from Thailand (supposing he's serving with a group of people who help to provide him the supply).

I told him about my experience that always found his stall not open and he told me that was because he went to places for charity work. And the receiving of selling these food will go to charity.

One thing I must highlight - the taste of the food very not local. With all the spices and chillies (ah, it's hot-and-spicy from tongue to tummy, mind you), I could almost feel like I am in Thailand.

Wanna know where is the location? Here's the pointer:

If you come from Green Lane McD:
       (1) Take your 12 o'clock when you come to the round-a-bout.
       (2) Immediately turn left and then right after you passed a small car park.
       (3) Go straight until you come to a junction on your left where there's a no entry sign.
       (4) Walk in and it's the first stall on your right.

What's better when you enjoy good food, great manner and the proceeding goes to charity?

I am very grateful for this wonderful morning, to have eaten such filling meal both body, mind and soul, and to have met such inspiring person.

Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! (*with Wai - palms pressed together in a prayer-like gesture)

A time to count the blessings

On this day two years ago, we tied the knot and started our journey together.

We are grateful that every step of the way has enriched our lives in all possible ways. And too our gratitude goes to all the available support given to our growth.

A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Future - Michael J. Fox

Sometimes it is interesting to look at life itself from various perspective.

From monetary point of view, our life is pretty much depend on how much money we can earn (to our level best) to not only put food on the table (putting aside the type of food and its cost) but to afford a little bit more of luxury (that's how people tend to put it this way - more comfortable, which its degree always different to people).

And then it comes to pursuing life goal, such as social status, more a recognition from the society, to feel good being appreciated.

However, ironically, most people realize that all the above that give rather high level of feeling in terms of life accomplishment seem significantly less important in compare with health, much when one is down with illness.

I was at the bookstore yesterday and his book caught my eye.

Finding that balance between all aspects is the key lesson each and everyone of us learn throughout our lives.

Don't you think so?

There Is No Boundary

Sometimes life can be a little difficult when things do not turn out the way we hoped it would. While most of the time the feeling of defeat and worry about what bet have we left for the coming challenges is driving us to the edge of falling, the real reason of stirring our stomach is always losing control.

The gap between effort and result is way too far apart that it ultimately taking all efforts into insignificance.

When the results are not promising it is almost like a big pile of disappointment appearing like a stack of thick blankets oppressing over the chest causing this suffocating gasps.

I stood by a tree the other day watching its tentacles-like "leaves" growing upwards. I observed how it is showered by the warm sun and move along as the breeze flow, and listened to its whispers of the rustling.

And then, I see hope.

I see life.

What is life if there isn't any process of achieving goals?

I guess different people just make different decision in defining life. I attended the 20th Anniversary Luncheon organized by the theatre troupe that I once belonged to and met many friends. It's always an interesting experience when many who got separated after taken their sail are once again back at the very same place where they nurtured their teen spirit.

We all have dreams.

They may vary from time to time, and sometimes accordingly to different life stage.

No matter what our dreams are we should never give it up for anything for they keep our soul soar so we can always hold our head high to face challenges.

Because of the gathering my memory wanders. I wonder where have the other absence gone and how have they pursue their dreams, and I missed them.

I guess different people have made different achievements in defining life.

Whatever yours is I wish you continue to achieving more goals!

Positivity

Sometimes to break life down to the simplest term is to see it from the very plain and pure perspective - to look at (only)one thing at a time.

That is how wisdom happen.

We read from the philosophers, we listened to people's experience and realization, we watched others got up and out from challenges, and we apply all that we have gathered in our action to make it ours.

How are these lessons be relevant to us if we have never stood in the situations?

Thus mistakes are merely an opportunity to make things right and downfalls are meant to make us rise and shine.

All through the different obstacles that I have had before got me one message straight in my face and to my heart & mind - you never know what you can do until you are challenged.

Pay close attention to these whispers, they are everywhere assisting.

What makes us stronger are the challenges we face,
the obstacles we overcome, and the achievements we make.
A positive attitude can create remarkable remarks.
Use your mind, your body and your soul to create, achieve and live your goals...

Archangel Michael

Yesterday I used a deck of Oracle Cards to seek guidance about the matter regarding buying a house. Apparently we have seen some place that we really like but it seems difficult for us to own. Yes, I'd say "it seems" because we haven't really contacted the bank or anything but by just looking at the price itself.

Everyone knows buying a house is a long-term commitment.

And then my dad came to say that "it's too far", "it'd be very difficult if you want to resell/or even the resell value isn't high" etc so everything just added up to become a big pressure over our shoulders.

Well honestly we both know it is a bit far from town and I don't particularly enjoy the travel so much either especially we have to do that day in day out. But we just can't fight the feeling that we have when we stood there at the place and felt the surrounding.

Of course we want that for ourselves but we're draw back in the fear of not being able to support and the head is trying to reason things out by saying "settle for something more practical".

So I headed for advice and I got Archangel Michael saying, "THIS POWERFUL ARCHANGEL IS WITH YOU RIGHT NOW. HE GIVES YOU COURAGE AND HELPS RELEASE YOU FROM THE EFFECTS OF FEAR."

I thought it's merely some encouragement. So I went on to online deck this morning and found Him again. This time he said, "Rapid change is often unsettling and can be stressful, but only because it seems to be too rapid and therefore threatening. Remember that you have agreed on the higher level to be part of the change, and that the changes are to bring in Light, Love, Joy and Abundance.
Operate from your Heart rather than your head. If there is fear, then it is coming from your head. Stay grounded and open, and be practical. If you are in the flow of Divine Creative energy, then you cannot fail.

Archangel Michael is making his presence know to you. Remember that you are Safe and Protected at all times, and that all is in Divine Order at all times! If you trust Divine Order, and not your old habits, you will be fine! God and the angels will help you stay true to yourself during trying times."
We believe in connection - the intuitive feeling that tells the most truthful word without overburden thoughts. If that's what good for us, please help us to get there.
